Individual therapy sessions are conducted with one individual in the session in my office or online via Simple Practice. In response to COVID-19, all sessions are offered online via Simple Practice or over the phone.
My primary focus is working with women that have food, body image, and weight issues that manifest themselves as an eating disorder, disordered eating, or chronic dieting. And working with mothers that are pregnant, have experienced pregnancy loss or pregnancy complications, or are struggling postpartum.
In the course of this work, other areas such as depression, anxiety, self harm, past trauma, and spirituality issues are addressed in sessions.
I work with adult women.
At times, family sessions or couples sessions are beneficial; we will discuss on an individual basis if it would be appropriate for me to facilitate these sessions or if a referral is needed.
To schedule a session, contact me or check out the scheduling/rates page for more information.
Group therapy sessions are conducted with 4-10 people present. In response to COVID-19, all group sessions will be conducted via Simple Practice or Zoom.
Groups are either process oriented or structured.
Process oriented groups do not have a specific outline, but are designed to support changing issues that come up in group member’s lives.
Structured groups have a time limit and are generally outlined with a detailed agenda for each meeting. Structured group sessions are often working through a specific curriculum with a specific goal or through a therapeutic book.
Group therapy sessions are offered in my office, at Glenwood Church of Christ, or online.
